Kempfield House Terms & Conditions

"We" is to imply Kempfield, Lichfield and Seafield House trading as fieldhousehotels.

“guest” is to include the person registered to stay including other members of the same party who are booked in at the same time.

A reservation forms a legal contract between fieldhousehotels and the Guest for provision of and payment for accommodation as detailed. Reservations are made and accepted on the following terms:

Accommodation offered.

We undertake to supply the accommodation reserved on a bed and breakfast basis for the price given. Alterations, other than a free upgrade, will not be made without the approval of the person booking. We can accept no responsibility for guests booking unsuitable accommodation unless suitability was first checked beforehand. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a reservation considered inappropriate.

Cancellation Charges

Reservations can be cancelled with no penalty up to 3 days before the day of arrival. For purpose of clarification the cut off time is 12:00 on the third day prior to the day of arrival.

Where a cancellation is made after this time or by non arrival, the Guest will be required to pay a cancellation charge equal to the first night at the room rate quoted or to all nights at the room rate quoted for two or three night minimum weekend stays. Where a reservation is made using a debit/credit card, that card will be debited with the cancellation charge unless other payment methods are offered and approved.
Where a room has been paid for in advance, payment will only be refunded if cancellation is received prior to 3 days before the day of arrival.
Where a reservation is for a two or three night minimum, cancellation of only one or two of those nights will not be allowed and cancellations before or after arrival will be subject to payment in full.

Check-in and Check-out times
Guests can check-in from 12:00 hrs. Guests are able to check in at anytime after this time and during periods that our reception is un-manned we have a keyless door system and can be opened by a code given in advance, or by remote operation.

Check-out time is 11.00 Check-out before or during breakfast may not be possible due to availability of staff, so please arrange to settle your account the night before if you wish to make an early departure.

Breakfast times
Breakfast is served between the following times. (Unless prior arrangements have been made)
Monday - Friday from 08.00 - 09.00
Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays from 08.30 – 09.30

Payment of Booking
A valid debit/credit card is required to guarantee every booking. Cards may be pre-authorised in advance of arrival.
Payment of a booking secured by debit/credit card guarantee will be required on departure.

Keys
Guests will be issued with a room key on arrival. One key will be issued per room. If keys are lost or not returned on departure, a replacement fee of £20 per key will be charged to the room account. In the case of debit/credit card bookings, the card of the person or agent responsible for the booking will be debited with the replacement fee unless other payment methods are offered and approved.

No Smoking
For the convenience and safety of all guests, we have a strictly non-smoking policy. Guests who smoke in their room will be asked to leave, will be charged a £25 fee for dry-cleaning of soft furnishings from the room and may be charged for loss of income caused by the need to extensively ventilate the room before the next letting. We reserve the right to add these costs to a guest’s account after departure. In the case of debit/credit card bookings, the card of the person or agent responsible for the booking will be debited with the costs, for which receipts will be provided, unless other payment methods are offered and approved.

House Rules to ensure the safety and quality of stay for all guests:

The reservation of a room is taken as a Guest’s acceptance of these rules.

No more than three non-resident visitors in a room at any one time.

No one, other than the registered guests is to be in a room after 01.00 or overnight.

There is to be no consumption of hot/cold take-away meals in room.

No smoking anywhere on the premises.

Refusal to comply with these rules will lead to a guest being asked to pay for the room and leave.
